OUR STORY
Investing in the Future
Karlani Capital was founded by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. Karlani was created by Nooruddin "Rudy" Karsan, after he sold his technology-based human resource management company, Kenexa, to IBM. Karlani has invested in and partnered with a number of well-known startups that are doing great things in their respective fields. When it comes to investing, there’s no such thing as approaching us too early. We’re looking for like-minded people who want to go on this journey with us, with plenty of joy, laughter and occasional tears along the way, enriching humanity through what we do.

Karlani Capital has one main objective: to enable the growth and success of ideas that are original, interesting, and useful to people. At the core, Karlani is an operating fund led by a group of master operators with the expertise to help grow companies from 1 to 1,000+ employees, as well as from $1 to over a billion dollars in valuation, and even assist you in taking your company into the public markets. As your partner, our goal is to add exceptional value with every investment we make. But that's not all. We want you enjoy the sheer exhilaration of being an entrepreneur.

SECTORS
We thrive on opportunity, which means we'll listen to almost any pitch; however, all our investments have some type of technology component. We have invested in companies ranging from fintech to adtech and ecommerce to enterprise software. It's safe to say that we'll likely pass if your start-up involves drawing of cats.
STAGE
We generally invest from early stage to Series B; however, we have participated in later rounds of financing. A product and active users / sales is required to charm the pants off us. We are also open to being creative around financing options and have extended venture debt.
GEOGRAPHY
We've invested in companies on every continent except Antarctica. We're perfectly fine venturing out of our comfort zone and investing in companies from different countries and states. Not only do we get to take a fun "business trip", but we relentlessly believe in an increasingly global world and expect our portfolio companies to align with that philosophy.
SIZE
We invest $100k to $2m+ in a round. Our goal is to find companies that we go on a long-term journey with and have more than a few cash stacks under our mattresses for follow-on rounds.
